| This Account is designed to maintain the value of a participant's original investment and to provide competitive returns using somewhat longer-term securities than typically found in a money market-type account. The assets in the Account are invested in a well-diversified portfolio of high quality fixed income securities with strong credit ratings. The Account also invests in contracts issued by highly rated insurance companies and banks which are structured to provide principal protection for the Account's diversified bond portfolios, regardless of daily market changes. The share value reflects the blended crediting rate available from all investments in the Account. Due to the nature of the investments, returns change only modestly from period-to-period. | |
