   Correctional Employees Retirement Plan
  The Correctional Employees Retirement Plan covers correctional officers and other employees in the Departments of Corrections and Human Services who spend at least 75 percent of their employment directly responsible for inmate care. Membership in the plan is mandatory for the qualifying positions. Click here for a list of covered positions.

Both the employee and employer contribute to the Correctional Plan as follows:
 
Employee Rate:  8.6% of gross pay
Employer Rate:  12.10% of employee's gross pay


Employees covered by the Correctional Plan also contribute to Social Security. Monthly benefits from the plan are in addition to amounts available from Social Security.
